Dalton Tucker’s tenure with the Colts
The Colts signed Tucker as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL draft. He has made the 53-man roster in each of his first two seasons.
Recapping Dalton Tucker’s 2025 season
Tucker again provided depth off the bench, filling in at both guard positions when needed. He appeared in eight games, making one start in Week 16 against San Francisco. He took some lumps, however, allowing two sacks and eight pressures over just 40 pass-blocking snaps. Tucker was a regular contributor on the field goal kick unit as a blocker.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Dalton Tucker
The backup center role behind Tanor Bortolini is up for grabs, and Tucker may be the favorite to earn that role. Jake Arthur of Roundtable Sports, who covers the Colts and was at offseason programs, mentioned in a 53-man roster prediction of his that Tucker could be the answer at backup center.
“(Jalen) Farmer’s addition allows the Colts to kick Tucker further inside to backup center, where they needed help with Danny Pinter’s departure,” Arthur wrote.
Tucker has no in-game NFL experience at center nor any college experience either, but out of the other options on the roster to fill this backup role, he has played more NFL snaps and has more experience in the Shane Steichen offense than the other candidates.
