Cam Boozer and the Grizzlies are headed to the NBA Summer League final.
The Grizzlies jumped out to an early double-digit lead against the Rockets at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on July 18 and eased to a blowout 101-90 win. They’ll face either the Lakers or the Warriors in the title game on July 19 (8 p.m., ESPN).
While plenty of other teams have either shut down or rested their top players, the Grizzlies have been clear throughout summer league that they’re playing for a title. Boozer, Cedric Coward and the rest of the Grizzlies’ top players on the summer league roster have been in the lineup throughout the week, and they’re set up for a chance to play for a title.
Boozer turned 19 on July 18 and celebrated his birthday with another solid game. He scored 12 points to go with 12 rebounds and five assists. He was also very active on the offensive glass, pulling down seven offensive boards.
