The New York Liberty-Dallas Wings WNBA game Thursday night has been postponed, the league announced Thursday morning.
The game was postponed due to mechanical issues with the Liberty’s flight, which won’t allow them take off today. The game has been rescheduled for July 20 at 7 p.m.
The Liberty’s next game will now be on July 18 at 8 p.m. at the Indiana Fever.
New York currently sits in fourth in the Eastern Conference and eighth overall in the league with a 13-11 record. The Liberty have lost seven of their last 10 and three in a row, despite capturing the Commissioner Cup on June 30 by beating the Las Vegas Aces.
The top eight teams make the WNBA playoffs, so the Liberty are in a playoff spot at the halfway point of the season, but they’re currently slipping out of the picture.
