The red carpet has officially been rolled out for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Following the blockbuster trade with the Milwaukee Bucks, Antetokounmpo’s first offseason as a member of the Miami Heat is underway, and following an introductory press conference this week, he was given the grand tour of the team’s facilities, including, of course, his first look at the Heat locker room.
While Giannis was understandably taking it all in, the Heat posted a video of its new superstar, who took a minute to check out his new No. 7 Heat jersey. It was a great look behind the scenes, and while there was no shortage of reactions from Heat fans, one comment from his new teammate, Bam Adebayo, stood out.
As seen on the Heat’s Instagram page, Adebayo couldn’t help but laugh over one subtle detail—the fact that Giannis seemingly received a gift basket of snacks from the team.
“Y’all gave my boy a snack basket?” Adebayo wrote with a crying-laughing emoji.
Maybe Giannis is a big fan of snacks. Regardless, I’m going to assume the Heat did some research to find out what The Greek Freak likes to eat, but even so, Adebayo’s response was nothing short of perfect. And for good measure, there was also a hat right on top, so Antetokounmpo can rep his new team right away.
