It’s time for fans like you to cast your votes in the second round of the 2026 Girls Athlete of the Year poll. 16 athletes have made it into this round.
All of the contenders in Round 2 earned their way in by winning a Thibodaux Regional Health System Athlete of the Week Award during the high school sports season and being one of the top 16 finishers in the first round of the poll.
Although each athlete is listed in order of the votes they received in the first round, all of their totals have been reset to zero in order to level the playing field. Voting is open now. Due to the 4th of July this week, voting has been extended by one day, with the polls closing at the end of the day on Wednesday. The top eight will advance to the semifinals.
