Plymouth Argyle have signed Stevenage midfielder Harvey White on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old made a total of 118 appearances for the Hertfordshire side, including 50 appearances in last season’s run to the League One play-offs, scoring six goals.
White turned down the offer of a new deal to remain at the Lamex Stadium, becoming the Pilgrims’ fourth permanent signing of the summer.
Argyle manager Tom Cleverley told the club website: “I saw him play several times last season, including against us, and he impressed me with how well he used the ball, how he reads the game, and how much he influences play.
“He is left-footed, has very good set-piece delivery, and I am looking forward to working with him.”
Argyle director of football Derek Adams said: “The addition of Harvey complements our other midfielders nicely.
“At 24, he has some experience under his belt, and still has scope to develop even further.”
The Kent-born White came through the ranks at Tottenham, playing nine times in the EFL Trophy, as well as one appearance each in the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League.
He has also had loan spells at both Portsmouth and Derby County.
