Rajah Caruth has lost ground in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series point standings after Sonoma Raceway. Caruth sits in 14th place, which is two spots behind the Chase bubble. The JR Motorsports driver has a 26-point deficit to Taylor Gray, who is the last competitor in the Chase field right now.
With five races left in the 2026 O’Reilly Series regular season, time is running out for Caruth. If the Chase is going to become a realistic possibility, Caruth has to extract more speed out of the No. 88 car. Granted, Caruth has been dealing with inconsistencies during the 2026 campaign.
Caruth has been forced to drive the No. 32 car for Jordan Anderson Racing after not earning a full schedule with JR Motorsports. It has hurt his ability to make ground on the Chase bubble, but there is still a chance. Caruth needs points, and it has to be the focus at Chicagoland Speedway next weekend.
