If you ask Michigan State football fans about Kenneth Walker III, one of the first things they will mention is that Kenneth Walker III not being invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremony was one of the biggest snubs in college football history. On Sunday night, on the biggest stage in the sport, Kenneth Walker III finally got his flowers, being named the Super Bowl LX MVP after his Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots.
Walker was dominant in this one, rushing for 135 yards and adding 26 yards in the air, helping the Seahawks set a new Super Bowl record with five made field goals. He also had one of the more electric plays of the game, which came near the end, when he scampered for a lightning-fast touchdown. Even though it was called back due to a penalty, it still felt like a highlight in a game that lacked a lot of explosive plays and showed off some ridiculous speed from Walker.
After the game, social media was praising Walker’s performance, and Michigan State fans, in particular, showed a lot of pride for Walker finally getting the respect he deserves on the biggest stage. Walker is also the first Michigan State alumni to win the NFL Super Bowl MVP. You can see the best reactions from his MVP win below:
