Monday was a game to forget for former Washington Huskies star forward Keion Brooks Jr.
Playing with the Indiana Pacers summer league team, Brooks went scoreless in 12 minutes off the bench in a 94-93 loss to the Toronto Raptors in Las Vegas on Monday. The former Husky, who was on a two-way contract with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2024-25, was 0-for-3 from the field, all from three-point range, and missed a free throw.
Brooks did have an assist and a block, but also had one turnover and three fouls en route to a plus-minus of +3. Indiana was led by Dutch center Rienk Mast, an undrafted free agent from Nebraska who led all scorers with 23 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. 2023 second-round pick Jalen Slawson added 21 points and 8 rebounds for the Pacers in 28 minutes.

Toronto escaped with the win behind 22 points from 2023 second-rounder Seth Lundy. 2023 undrafted free agent Tyreke Key added 16 off the bench for the victorious Raptors.
Brooks averaged 14.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 26 minutes per game last season for the NBA G League’s Birmingham Squadron while shooting 40 percent from three. He was traded to the Noblesville Boom, the G League affiliate of the Pacers, in March, where he will team with Slawson, a 2025-26 G League All-Defensive First Team selection, if neither of the two gets an offer from the Pacers following the NBA Summer League.
