Sudanese army says it has made field gains against Rapid Support Forces

Sudan’s Defence Minister Hassan Daoud Kabroun said on Thursday that the Sudanese Armed Forces had made what he described as “field gains” in the states of Kordofan, Blue Nile, and Darfur, and had inflicted “heavy losses” on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). In a statement, Kabroun said military operations would continue “until the militia (Rapid Support Forces) is eliminated and the entire homeland is secured.” He added that the armed forces were continuing their operations with confidence, citing the determination of military personnel, public support, and what he described as the legitimacy of their mission.
