Diego Pavia, who signed with the Baltimore Ravens after becoming the first Heisman finalist since 2014 to go undrafted, is a free agent once again. The Ravens announced Thursday that Pavia has been waived.
The move comes one week before Baltimore’s training camp, which begins on July 29. Per the team, Pavia was waived to make room for veteran center Ethan Pocic.

Pavia was competing to be the team’s third-string quarterback, behind Lamar Jackson and veteran backup Tyler Huntley. With Pavia out, veteran Skylar Thompson and undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano out of UConn will continue to battle for that spot.
