Five current Vanderbilt baseball players and eight signees were selected in the 2026 MLB Draft. Now, it’s time for them to decide between professional contracts and the Commodores.
All of the signees selected in the top 10 rounds (Eric Booth Jr., Aiden Ruiz, Sean Duncan, Luke Williams, Keon Johnson and Collin Bland) are expected to sign, as are current players Mike Mancini (ninth round), Braden Holcomb (12th round), Alex Kranzler (17th round) and Luke Guth (19th round).
More uncertain is the status of signees James Tronstein and David Hinojosa (15th round).
Current player Connor Fennell (20th round) announced July 17 he was returning for the 2027 season.
Drafted players have until July 27 at 4 p.m. CT to sign professional contracts.
