This past week, I asked for your response to the news that Jon Palumbo was given the athletic director position, at least on an interim basis. Very much to my surprise, just under half of the voters stated they are in favor of him winning the job on a permanent basis. In my eyes, Palumbo still has much to prove and I have my concerns about his ability to succeed. My vote was for Michigan State to give the keys back to Mark Hollis – who has said at least through the media – that he would like to be the AD once again. That option turned out to be the least popular with less than 1 in 5 votes being for Hollis.
For those who voted that you want Palumbo to earn the job permanently, please comment with what about him and/or his first year in East Lansing makes you think he is the man for the job.
As always, if you have a suggestion for a survey, please mention it in the comments.
