Iran has executed a man convicted of shooting to death a member of the security forces during nationwide unrest sparked by the 2022 death of a young woman in police custody, the judiciary Mizan news agency reported on Saturday.
Rights groups say authorities often rely on forced confessions obtained under torture to convict protesters.
Iran denies the accusation.
