Could people put “Vote for Sophie Cunningham” signs in their yards in the future?
Author and sort-of-futurist Chuck Klosterman joined Bill Simmons’ podcast on The Ringer, and made a bold prediction: The Indiana Fever sparkplug will be a vice presidential candidate in 20 years or so.
At about the 1 hour, 14-minute mark, they begin talking about the WNBA (of course Caitlin Clark is part of the conversation), with Cunningham coming up at the 1:22 mark.
“Sophie Cunningham … I’m going to say 2050, is going to be vice president of the United States,” Klosterman said. “I don’t know what party she’ll be in. I don’t know anything about her political views. But she will be the vice presidential candidate, at least the candidate.”
Klosterman and Simmons said they were amused by the memes that arose from Cunningham’s confrontation with Phoenix’s DeWanna Bonner in June.
“I don’t know what it is. It’s something about the fact that she wears those sleeves on the court, something about the way she triggers in-bound plays at the end of games, makes me think she will be someone’s ideal vice president. You know, she has a damn likable personality.”

Though Cunningham hasn’t publicly declared a political affiliation, she chimed in on Thursday, July 16, about a current hot-button issue: data centers. She is wary about them taking away farmland.
so how do we save our farm land and stop all these dumb data centers?
