LA28 has opened volunteer applications for Games-time roles, marking two years out from the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
The volunteer portal is here, where those interested can learn more about the LA28 Volunteer Program presented by Delta Air Lines.
Roles will be available in eight categories: communications, driving, experience, medical, ceremonies, operations, sport and technology. Some roles require specialized skills that can be noted in applications, including in medicine and language translation.
Those who already expressed interest in the program will receive an email with next steps for the application process.
The overall LA28 Volunteer Crew will include around 60,000 people for the Olympics and Paralympics. The Olympic volunteer period is March-August 2028. The Paralympic volunteer period is August-September 2028.
Each Games-time volunteer must commit to at least 10 shifts within one period.
Most roles will be in the greater LA area. Volunteers will also be needed in Oklahoma City, where canoe slalom and softball will be held, and at soccer venues across the country.
