Undocumented foreigners continue to arrive at the Musina repatriation centre outside the Beitbridge Border Post in Limpopo to be sent back to their countries of origin, mostly Malawi and Zimbabwe. Home Affairs department says the number of migrants being processed has slightly gone down since last week when thousands arrived at the centre. They are arriving from provinces such as the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

Home Affairs Provincial Manager Albert Matsaung says that 22 buses carrying the Malawian and Zimbabwean migrants left the repatriation centre. Matsaung says that just over two thousand migrants were processed and repatriated on Friday. “We expect about 20 buses to take the migrants back to their home countries today (Saturday). The Malawian and Zimbabwean authorities are also helping at the repatriation centre. There’s also high police presence.”
