ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler compiled his ranking of the NFL’s top offensive tackles entering the 2026 season and briefly mentioned was the Indianapolis Colts’ Bernhard Raimann.
What makes these annual rankings unique is that they are not based solely on Fowler’s opinion. Rather, NFL execs, coaches, and scouts are the ones who have the say as voters. Interviews, research, and film study by analyst Matt Bowen also factor into the equation.
Once compiled, Fowler then builds out the top 10 list, the honorable mentions, and at the end, is a category for those who received votes — that’s where Raimann’s name appeared.
So of the 70 voters who put their top 10 lists together, at least one had Raimann ranked. Although we do not know the specifics of how many votes Raimann received.
Colts Bernhard Raimann on outside looking in at top offensive tackle rankings
Raimann has continued to ascend during his NFL career, and in the process provided the Colts with a stable presence at one of the game’s most important decisions.
Last season, he would rank tied for 14th out of 90 eligible tackles in PFF’s pass-blocking grade. As a run blocker, Raimann ranked third among his position group in ESPN’s run-block win rate metric.
Running back Jonathan Taylor averaged a hefty 5.8 yards per carry when rushing directly to Raimann’s right or left last season.
Raimann plays a key role in what should once again be an overall stout Colts’ offensive line unit.
In July of 2025, the Colts signed Raimann to a four-year extension worth $100 million.
