Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig’s tenure with the Jaguars
The Jaguars signed Silmon-Craig as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 NFL draft.
Recapping Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig’s 2025 season
Silmon-Craig spent last season on the practice squad, but did appear in three games as a game-day elevation. Over three games, he played 12 special teams snaps, appearing primarily on the field goal block unit.
Defensively, Silmon-Craig played 21 total snaps against Tennessee and Indianapolis. He made two solo tackles and allowed one reception for 12 yards in coverage, lining up mostly at free safety, according to PFF.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig
It looks like Silmon-Craig is going to face an uphill battle making the Jaguars’ roster at safety.
Eric Murray and Antonio Johnson are the presumed starters, while Caleb Ransaw could fill the third safety role, which does see steady playing time in Anthony Campanile’s defense. Jalen Huskey was a third-round pick this year and could help on special teams right away, while Rayuan Lane was a core special teams contributor as a rookie.
That’s already five roster spots accounted for, which is typically how many safeties most teams keep on the 53-man, leaving Silmon-Craig likely competing for a spot on the practice squad.
