The WNBA will hold 2026 All-Star events at the Obama Presidential Center, the league announced on Wednesday. It will be the first professional sports league to hold events at the center, which officially opened to the public last month.
All-Star weekend will be held in Chicago July 24-25, with the league hosting media day and practices at the Obama Center, in addition to its Changemaker Day and Jr. WNBA Day.
“Hosting AT&T WNBA All-Star events at the Obama Presidential Center is a true honor and reflects our commitment to creating connection through basketball and engaging communities in meaningful ways,” WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said in a statement. “We’re excited to bring together the WNBA family and the greater Chicago community to create memorable experiences at this historic new venue.”
The Obama Presidential Center includes a 60,000-square-foot athletic building, which features a regulation basketball court.
The WNBA’s brightest stars will be on site for the weekend, including starters Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, Olivia Miles, Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston, Natasha Howard, Jessica Shepard, Breanna Stewart, Gabby Williams and A’ja Wilson.
The All-Star reserves are Sonia Citron, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Marina Mabrey, Kelsey Plum, Courtney Williams, Jackie Young, Kiki Iriafen, Jonquel Jones, Dominique Malonga, Nneka Ogwumike and Angel Reese.
