The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) has ordered a rewrite of several law exams after confirming that seven module exam papers were leaked. The university says the affected exams will be rewritten after students return for the second semester, giving them more time to prepare.
UKZN has appointed an independent team to investigate how the papers were leaked, how many people were involved, and how far the leak spread.
The university says anyone found responsible could face disciplinary action, a civil claim, or criminal charges.
The School of Law says tighter security measures have been put in place for the rewrite of the law exams.
