New York Jets fans are legitimately excited about their wide receiver corps in 2026.
Though general manager Darren Mougey is rebuilding the roster, the belief is that this is the deepest the Jets have been at receiver in a long time. With that in mind, Jets Wire ranked the five best wideouts on the roster via projection:
1. Garrett Wilson
Garrett Wilson is the Jets’ unquestioned WR1 and should return to form in 2026 after an injury derailed his 2025 campaign. Wilson is an annual 1,000-yard receiver when healthy and should have a connection with starting quarterback Geno Smith. He’s a Top 20 WR in the NFL.
2. Adonai Mitchell
Adonai Mitchell was very impactful during offseason workouts at OTAs and minicamp. The hype is through the roof for a wideout the Jets acquired from the Indianapolis Colts in the Sauce Gardner trade. Mitchell is the overwhelming favorite to produce like a WR2 in 2026.
3. Omar Cooper Jr.
After making two picks during the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, the Jets traded back into the opening 32 to make a third, wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. Cooper is a physical route runner who is capable of playing every receiver position. He’ll move around the formation as a slot and WR3.
4. Isaiah Williams
Isaiah Williams generated some nice momentum throughout offseason workouts. He routinely strung quality practices together at OTAs and minicamp while creating separation and giving the quarterbacks a target. Williams might be trending towards winning a training camp competition.
5. Arian Smith
Jets sophomore receiver Arian Smith is on extremely thin ice after a disappointing rookie season. Smith isn’t guaranteed to make the roster, but he’s currently our slight favorite to be WR5. He’ll have to fend off competition from the likes of veteran Tim Patrick.
