Ohio State men’s basketball has made the cut for one of the nation’s top prospects in the 2027 class.
Demarcus Henry, whose brother is Buckeyes freshman wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. and whose sister is Ohio State women’s basketball player Seini Henry, includes OSU among the eight schools he is considering attending.
On July 6, Henry announced that he had cut his list to Arkansas, BYU, Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina and Ohio State after receiving 29 known scholarship offers.
A five-star prospect according to 247Sports.com, Henry is the No. 5 prospect in the nation. Ohio State has heavily recruited him for several years, and he visited the Buckeyes as they hosted Texas for a football game during the 2025 season.
Henry, a small forward listed at 6-foot-7, 180 pounds, plays at Chandler (Arizona) Compass Prep.
