Newcastle United reportedly want a £77 million fee to sell Bruno Guimaraes, who is attracting strong interest from Arsenal.
The Gunners are looking to bolster their options in central midfield, and have identified Guimaraes as an ideal option.
Newcastle recently rejected a verbal offer worth less than £60m from Arsenal, insisting Guimaraes is not for sale this summer.
They have already lost Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for a £69 million fee, while Sandro Tonali is poised to join Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £100m.
Losing Guimaraes in the same transfer window would be a monumental blow for Newcastle.
However, a report from AS suggests the Tyneside club could sanction a transfer if they receive a £77m offer.
Guimaraes has emerged as one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League after joining Newcastle in 2022.
He has been a consistent performer over the years for the Magpies, impressing with his composure, creativity and relentless work rate.
The Brazilian has recorded 31 goals and 32 assists in 195 appearances, and played an instrumental role in their Carabao Cup triumph in 2024-25.
Newcastle rate Guimaraes very highly and have maintained they will not entertain offers for him this summer.
Eddie Howe’s side are not under any pressure to sell, as the 28-year-old is under contract until 2028, with the club also having an option to extend by another year.
