The Charlotte Hornets have had a busy offseason, making three different trades, including one for veteran Dorian Finney-Smith Friday. All the while, the Hornets are preparing to defend their 2025 NBA Summer League title this summer.
Ahead of another preseason, Charlotte released their summer league roster with a few changes and similarities from last year’s team.
Charlotte Hornets 2026 Summer League Roster
Guards

- Max McKinnon
- Latrell Wrightsell Jr.
Forwards
- Liam McNeeley
- Tidjane Salaun
- Cameron Matthews
- Michael Ajayi
- Wyatt Fricks
Centers
- Ryan Kalkbrenner
- Hannes Steinbach
- Josiah Allick
The most notable names include returning players Tidjane Salaun, Sion James, Liam McNeeley and Ryan Kalkbrenner. Recently drafted rookies Christian Anderson and Hannes Steinbach are present as well as undrafted free agent signing Kylan Boswell, who agreed to join the team on a two-way deal. The most notable player omitted is, of course, Kon Knueppel, who wasn’t expected to play this summer after a stellar rookie campaign.
Charlotte’s summer league team is coached by Hornets assistant Blaine Mueller, and their first matchup is July 9 against the Orlando Magic.
