Chairperson of the Impeachment Committee Makashule Gana says he will only able to pronounce on the work of the committee after all the nominees for the position of an evidence leader have been submitted.
The committee was established after the Constitutional Court ordered Parliament to establish an Impeachment Committee to probe the findings of Section 89 Independent Panel that found that President Cyril Ramaphosa may have a case to answer over the theft of foreign currency at his Phala Phala farm.
Parliament is currently on constituency period.
Gana says the committee will be able to communicate further on its work after the 10th July deadline, for the submission of the names to be appointed as evidence leaders.
Political parties are responsible for submitting their preferred nominees.
Gana says they still have to deliberate on the terms of reference of the committee as well as time frames for the completion of its work.
