Suspended Ekurhuleni Metro Police (EMPD) Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi and City Manager Kagiso Lerutla are due back in the Boksburg Regional Court.
They face charges of fraud, corruption and defeating the ends of justice.
The State alleges that Lerutla paid R400 000 to Mkhwanazi for an impersonator to appear in court on behalf of Lerutla in 2019 while he attended a job interview.
This was after Lerutla was arrested for speeding.
Both accused are out on R30 000 bail each.
