The Minnesota Lynx are out to a tremendous start to the 2026 WNBA season. At 15-4, the Lynx have the best record in the W … and they are about to get even better.
After missing the start of the 2026 season due to offseason ankle surgeries, Napheesa Collier returned to practice Wednesday, the team announced.

While that presumably bodes well for Collier to return to the team soon, it did not reveal a timetable for Collier’s first game. Instead, the Lynx said further updates on Collier’s rehab will be “provided when available.”
The team’s performance without Collier this season has been nothing short of incredible. Veterans Natasha Howard, Courtney Williams and Kayla McBride have all stepped up their game with Collier out. The team has also received a massive boost from rookie Olivia Miles, who is averaging 18.7 points per game and is now an overwhelming favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award.
Adding Collier to that mix should strike fear in the hearts of other teams. Collier, 29, has elevated herself to one of the best players in the WNBA. Collier has finished in the top-4 of MVP voting in each of the past three seasons. During that same stretch, she’s been a three-time All-Star, three-time selection for first-team All-WNBA, made three All-Defensive teams and was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.
