The Atlanta Falcons have given out two blockbuster contracts so far this offseason.
The first went to wide receiver Drake London, who got four years and $141 million total. The second was for tight end Kyle Pitts, who signed a three-year deal worth up to $54 million. Star running back Bijan Robinson might be their third, and he’s expected to reset the market at his position when he signs.
For Pitts it’s a huge vote of confidence from the team that picked him at No. 4 overall back in 2021. Despite totaling over 1,000 yards he only scored one touchdown his rookie season and overall his production was far from what you’d expect from a top-five pick.
Last year that all changed, though. Pitts put in a career-best year in 2025, racking up 118 catches, 928 yards and five touchdowns. Looking ahead, Pitts believes the best is yet to come, per the Atlanta Journal-Consitution.
“It was more so, ‘OK, that was my opportunity that Atlanta picked it back up to give me another year to showcase,’” Pitts said Monday, “and then it was just time to squeeze the rag and just grind. I was fortunate I got the call and the interest in the long term, and when it happened, it was pretty great.”
