Nike x Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark has become almost synonymous with basketball sneakers. Well, besides logo-range threes.
Ever since she unveiled her debut Caitlin Clark x Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro “Indiana Fever” colorway, the pair has taken on a life of its own. It wasn’t long before they appeared on the feet of NBA stars and, perhaps most fittingly, nearly the entire Indiana Pacers roster. The release cemented Clark’s growing influence well beyond the WNBA, proving that her impact on the game extends as much to style as it does to what happens on the court.
Now, she’s taking the next step.
On October 1, Clark officially enters signature-shoe territory with the debut of the Caitlin Clark 1, launching in an all-blue colorway alongside the first chapter of her namesake collection. The release also includes an 18-piece apparel line built around performance essentials designed to transition seamlessly from the court to everyday wear, while introducing Nike Standard Issue innovation to women’s basketball for the first time.
Rather than leaning into the Indiana Fever’s signature red-and-gold palette, the Caitlin Clark 1 arrives wrapped in a textured blue upper that immediately sets it apart. Its sculptural form is inspired by the ripple created by a three-point shot, a subtle reference to her signature.
Personal details are embedded throughout: Cast PU nodes form repeating “C”s along the lateral side and “2”s along the medial side, while hidden underfoot messages speak directly to her mentality: “Shoot More Threes,” “From Anywhere,” and “It Was Never a Long Shot.”
Performance remains at the center of the design. According to Nike, the shoe features an Opticast upper, an innovative construction made from cast PU nodes with varied Z-heights that reduces drag while enhancing movement efficiency on the court. Underfoot, a cushion midsole works alongside an articulated forefoot Air Zoom Turbo unit to deliver responsive cushioning, close-to-the-ground court feel.
“Having my own shoe has been a dream for as long as I can remember, and seeing it come to life is pretty incredible,” Clark said. “I wanted it to reflect how I play—fast, confident, and ready to let it fly.”
She describes the process as a genuine collaboration. “Nike and I really crushed it. It was a true partnership. They listened to every detail, and the innovation is designed for my game.” Seeing the finished product for the first time, she says, “will forever be a core memory.”
Still, Clark insists the shoe represents something larger than a personal milestone.
“What excites me most is what this can mean for the next generation,” she said. “If it inspires even one kid to work harder or fall in love with the game, that’s what makes it special. This is so much more than a shoe—it’s about helping grow the game.”
