Jacksonville Jaguars salary cap breakdown at running back
Travis Etienne left in free agency, signing a four-year, $48 million deal to join the Saints. This leaves Bhayshul Tuten, free-agent addition Chris Rodriguez, and LeQuint Allen to shoulder the running back workload in a rotation.
Rodriguez signed a two-year, $10 million deal with the Jaguars. His salary cap hit of $2.245 million is the largest on the team at running back. Compared to the rest of the NFL, Rodriguez’s cap hit ranks 44th among backs.
With Tuten and Allen as former Day 3 draft picks still on the early portion of their rookie deals, they come with modest cap hits of $1.314 million and $1.034 million, respectively.
DeeJay Dallas and Ameer Abdullah are on veteran minimum deals with cap hits just over $1 million, while J’Mari Taylor is a UDFA with a cap hit of $895,000.
