Four people have died when a bakkie and a sedan collided on the R380 road outside Hotazel in the Northern Cape.
The driver of the bakkie sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
Provincial police spokesperson Thabo Litabe says they are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
“It is alleged that a single-cab bakkie with two occupants and a Volkswagen Polo with three occupants collided on the R380 road between Hotazel and Black Rock. Four men, believed to be between the ages of 30 and 50, were certified dead at the scene. One body was reportedly found outside the vehicles, while three individuals were trapped. The driver of the single-cab bakkie sustained injuries and was transported to hospital.”
