Former Bafana striker, Siyabonga Nomvethe has backed the Bafana Bafana coach to continue with the team that performed well in the previous match against South Korea.
Nomvethe says the team has shown balance in the last two games, leaving little reason for the coach to make unnecessary changes.
Nomvethe believes that consistency in team selection will help Bafana Bafana build momentum and do well in the tournament.
“I believe the coach should continue with the players who started the previous match and allow them to finish the job. The player who was unavailable can wait for his opportunity because it would be unfair to disrupt the momentum of a team that performed so well. Their performance showed good understanding and strong combinations on the field. When a team is functioning effectively, maintaining consistency can help preserve confidence and momentum.”
