The paternal grandparents of two-year-old, who went missing in May, are expected to appear before the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
52-year-old Vinolia Mabuela and 55-year-old Jacob Ledwaba are facing charges of child neglect after the toddler disappeared while under their care.
Omphile went missing from her grandparents’ home in Ga-Mabuela, outside Mokopane.
The State argues that it has a strong case against the accused. It alleges that signs of child neglect had been identified as early as January this year.
The pair were each granted bail of R1.000.
