Four people have died while several others were injured in a collision involving two vehicles on the R519 near Bergnek which is close to Polokwane in Limpopo.
The Department of Transport says emergency and traffic officials are attending to the scene.
Department spokesperson Mashudu Mabata has urged motorists to exercise caution and reduce speed when approaching the area.
“The road is currently closed to allow forensic investigators to conduct their work safely. Motorists should expect delays due to high traffic volumes. Motorists traveling along the route are urged to exercise extreme caution, reduce speed, and comply with the instructions of traffic officials.”
