With the NFL in a rare quiet period, it is time for NFL analysts to rank everything associated with the 32 teams, and multiple pieces started to trickle out.
Of course, one of the rankings fans always look forward to is the Top 100 NFL players lists that the different outlets put out, and the first one of those hit the street on Thursday, when Pete Prisco of CBS Sports dropped his, and in it, Tennessee Titans star defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons saw a meteoric rise after his career 2025 season.
No. 20 – Jeffery Simmons – Tennessee Titans DT
Playing on a bad team in 2025, he didn’t get the attention he deserved for how well he played. He was a dominant interior rusher and, once again, tough against the run. He earned the mega deal he signed this month. (Last season: No. 78)
Simmons jumped an incredible 58 spots after dominating the competition in 2025. This is well deserved for the anchor of the Titans’ defense and a key foundational piece of the rebuilding organization.
Now, with Simmons locked up and playing in an attacking-style defense, he will have even more of a chance to make an impact in 2026 and continue climbing in the rankings.
