Five people have been killed in a head-on collision involving two vehicles on the P97 road between Perdekop and Amersfoort in Mpumalanga.
Four other occupants in the vehicles have been seriously injured.
According to preliminary investigations, the cause of the crash is suspected to be reckless driving.
Mpumalanga’s MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Jackie Macie, warns motorists to obey the rules of the road.
