With the 2025-26 season coming to a close, we are into our season review series with a look at the wide players and how they did this season.
Iliman Ndiaye
G – 34 Min – 2,833 Gls – 6 Ast – 3 YC – 2 RC – 0
Ndiaye started the season in fine form as he often does, but following his time with Senegal at AFCON, he never was quite the same player. Whether it was a nagging injury or pure exhaustion from the tournament, Ndiaye seemed out of course. While almost the entire squad looked out of synch during the last stretch this season, Ndiaye should be back to his old self next season (with hopefully some more attacking help coming in soon). The 26-year-old has been the topic of several transfer rumours recently, with some reports suggesting he has turned down several contracts from the club. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with the Senegalese star this summer as he takes on the world’s biggest stage at the World Cup.
Grade: B
Ndiaye scored his first goal of the season and the first Everton goal at Hill Dickinson in a 2-0 win over Brighton.
Jack Grealish
G – 22 Min – 1,723 Gls – 2 Ast – 6 YC – 2 RC – 1
Grealish made an impact right off the bat during his Everton tenure, recording four assists in his first three games. It’s easy to say that another goal or two would’ve been nice, but Grealish’s ability to truly open up space for the players around him made him a joy to watch. It seems like there’s new rumours each week about his future at Man City and a possible return to the Blues, and it’s clear that Evertonians would be delighted with a return to a club that he seems to love (and who loves him right back).
Grade: B+
Grealish scored a late winner to end Crystal Palace’s unbeaten run in a 2-1 win.
Dwight McNeil
G – 25 Min – 2,102 Gls – 2 Ast – 3 YC – 1 RC – 1
Simply put, it was a disappointing season for Dwight McNeil. His only real playing time came due to squad injuries and depth (notably Ndiaye being away at AFCON). Many will remember McNeil this past season for his failed move to Crystal Palace that collapsed on the final day of the January transfer window. As McNeil has done during his entire Everton tenure, he kept his head down and put in some decent shifts when called upon. With a year left on his contract, McNeil will likely be sold off this summer.
Grade: C+
McNeil’s play of the season and lone goal contribution came in a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
Tyler Dibling
G – 17 Min – 513 Gls – 0 Ast – 0 YC – 2 RC – 0
It was a frustrating season for both Dibling and Evertonians who were excited to see the youngster’s talents after the club pushed hard for his services prior to the season. He seemed like a player who could provide a spark when Everton looked out of depth in both the creative and goalscoring aspects of their attack. A sizable fee and plenty of experience with Southampton shows he is up to the task. Here’s hoping a strong preseason will allow Dibling the opportunity to breakout next season and finally get some consistent playing time.

Tyrique George
G – 11 Min – 210 Gls – 0 Ast – 0 YC – 0 RC – 0
While recent reports suggest that Everton are interested in bring the 20-year-old back to the club, a part of me wonders if it’s even worth it, as Moyes could once again be reluctant to actually play him. George showed flashes of brilliance when called upon, but there wasn’t enough of a sample size. Evertonians will feel hard-done-by for his notable exclusion from the squad this past season.
