With the release of EA Sports College Football 27 approaching, fans finally have their first look at how the ACC stacks up in the highly anticipated video game.
EA Sports recently unveiled its official team ratings for College Football 27, providing a snapshot of how the game’s developers view each program entering the 2026-2027 season. For Florida State, the ratings place the Seminoles in the middle of the ACC pack as head coach Mike Norvell looks to engineer a bounce-back campaign.
The Seminoles received an overall rating of 82, with an 83-rated offense and an 81-rated defense. That placed Florida State behind several conference rivals, such as the Clemson Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, and SMU Mustangs football, but ahead of several ACC programs projected to finish in the lower half of the league.
At the top of the ACC ratings, Miami paced the conference with an 88 overall rating, including a 90-rated offense and 86-rated defense. Louisville checked in second among ACC teams at 84 overall, followed by Clemson at 83. SMU (83) and Virginia (83) rounded out the conference’s top five.
Florida State’s 82 overall rating placed the Seminoles fifth among ACC programs. The rating reflects the uncertainty surrounding the program entering 2026. The Seminoles have added a significant number of transfers, including quarterback Ashton Daniels. However, after consecutive disappointing seasons following the program’s undefeated regular season in 2023, national expectations remain tempered.
The ratings provide an early indication of where FSU stands relative to its conference rivals. While the Seminoles are not currently among the ACC’s highest-rated teams in College Football 27, they are positioned well enough to be a popular rebuild candidate for players looking to return the program to national prominence.
