The Cincinnati Bengals landing an NFL draft feels like a matter of time.
More specifically, the city of Cincinnati continues to be in the running. A report from May suggested Cincinnati has the “inside track” to hosting the draft in 2029.
Recently, Bengals brass talked quite openly about the possibility of bringing the draft to town.
“We’ve expressed interest, as have many other cities,” Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn told Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. “We are exploring it and seeing whether we can have an opportunity to do that. We would love it if we could. We would be excited about it. We’ll continue to work on it to see if it can happen.”
The Bengals have expressed interest in the draft for a while now, though a prior report said a push for the 2027 draft got delayed due to construction of a new hotel near the convention center downtown.
Right now, Washington hosts the 2027 draft and Minnesota the 2028 edition, with no public timetable on an announcement for 2029.
