AJ Auxerre are reported to have submitted a €4 million bid to KVC Westerlo for Arthur Piedfort (21), according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Whilst negotiations between the two clubs are currently at an advanced stage and an agreement is expected to be reached shortly, the midfielder is said to have already given the green light to join the Burgundy-based club.
A key player for De Kemphanen, the PSV-trained player started in 35 of the 37 matches he played across all competitions during the 2025–26 season. Piedfort rounded off that campaign with three goals and three assists.
Internationally capped four times for Belgium’s Under-21s, the defensive midfielder is set to become AJA’s second summer signing, following the club’s earlier completion of the transfer of the young Chinese forward Xiangxin Wei (18) from MZ Hakka. His arrival represents a promising addition for the new manager of Auxerre Will Still, a compatriot of Piedfort’s.
