Auburn softball transfer left-handed pitcher SJ Geurin announced her commitment to Texas State on Tuesday, June 23.
The former Auburn and Oklahoma pitcher entered the transfer portal back on June 6 after spending two seasons with the Tigers. She appeared in 72 games during those years on the Plains.
This previous season saw Geurin earn 13 starts for the Tigers, collecting five wins and one save. Her year concluded with 72.1 innings tossed, striking out 36 batters. Now she sits ranked sixth in program history for games finished (36).
First year in the orange and blue saw her lead the nation in pitching appearances, which tied an Auburn record for single-season appearances held by Kristen Keyes (2002). That year she recorded a 23-12 record and four saves, finishing 17th in the nation for wins.
Began her college career at Oklahoma in 2024, appearing only nine times for the Sooners. Geurin got two wins for the Sooners. Recruited out of high school as the No. 20 prospect in the country by Extra Inning Softball.
Geurin now joins Texas State as a senior with a year of eligibility left in her college career.
