Former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and his wife were reportedly evacuated from the United Arab Emirates and returned to Israel after Israeli security agencies received warnings of a potential threat against him, according to Israeli media reports. Israel’s Channel 13 reported on Monday that the evacuation was carried out urgently after security services received intelligence indicating a possible Iranian threat targeting Bar during a visit to the UAE. According to the broadcaster, the warning related to concerns that the former intelligence chief could be targeted while attending a private security gathering in the country.
