The Las Vegas Raiders will enter the 2026 campaign with one of the youngest and most promising rosters in all of football.
Las Vegas selected former Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Raiders added a handful of young talent in rounds two through seven following Mendoza, and Las Vegas’ young core could quickly begin to shine across 2026.
Las Vegas selected former Oregon wide receiver Malik Benson in the sixth round of the draft, while also signing Jalen Nailor to a 3-year deal in free agency. Adding some much-needed depth to a thin receiver room.
Still the Raiders’ wide receiver corps lacks a true proven veteran presence despite a surplus of young talent. ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently named a handful of veteran free agent playmakers that the Raiders could have interest in, as a plethora of wide receiver talent remains available both in free agency and on the trade market.

“Well I don’t think they are pressing for them, but it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise.” He said. “If you take a look at the wide receivers out there right now, clearly they aren’t getting the money they want. But it is a decorated group, and yes there’s age and injury question marks. But think about some of the names at the position that are now available. Stefon Diggs, Deebo Samuel, Tyreek Hill, DeAndre Hopkins, Brandon Aiyuk has tried to talk his way out of San Francisco. Keenan Allen, there are a lot of high profile wide receivers on the street. So if the Raiders decide they want to go add one, there’s certainly no shortage of all these players who are just waiting to see if they could try to get more money before they come back.”
Each player listed could undoubtedly emerge as an excellent fit on the Raiders’ offense next season. Diggs played a critical role in the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl run last year, while Samuel proved to still be a valuable receiver throughout his time in Washington.
Las Vegas’ young offensive core would benefit greatly from having a high profile veteran presence in the locker room, and each receiver listed could quickly prove to still have value both on and off the gridiron in 2026.
