Media personality Molemo Maarohanye, popularly known as Jub Jub, says there is a campaign to destroy his reputation. He spoke to the media outside the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, east of Johannesburg, where his case was postponed to 24 August for further investigation.
Maarohanye was arrested last week, following an alleged altercation with an e-hailing driver and was granted R5 000 bail on 16 June.
He faces charges of pointing an object resembling a firearm and discharging it in a public space.
Maarohanye denies the allegations.
“I am just shocked at the allegations by the senior police officer, saying that I kidnapped and that my girlfriend dated an Uber driver. I don’t know man, for me I am just complying and appearing and doing what it is (requested of me). In all cases related to me, it is always God’s first anyway before I step into a room it is always God first. They are against me and trying to put things together to maybe formulate something of some case whatever then it is fine. It is what it is.”
