We knew that, going into the summer months, it was only a matter of time until the Oregon Ducks tipped their hand and showed how they were going to start campaigning starting quarterback Dante Moore when it comes to the Heisman Trophy race.
A couple of years ago, we saw what Oregon did when it came to Bo Nix, putting up billboards of him in New York City and Texas ahead of his final season, a page they stole out of the Joey Harrington playbook a couple of decades before.
Over the weekend, the Ducks revealed part of the plan, putting up a massive billboard of Moore, but this time in Tokyo, where the Oregon QB currently is with Dan Lanning and a handful of other Duck teammates for the “Tokyo-Oregon Football Showcase.”
We saw the first images of the billboard over the weekend, but on Monday, Moore provided the best look yet, posting a picture of the attraction on his Instagram.

Right now, Moore is among the favorites to win the Heisman in 2026, sitting with +1300 odds, tied for fifth in the nation, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. When he announced that he was turning down a first-round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft, it was clear that the Ducks were going all in on this season and working to get Moore to New York for that ceremony in December. Now it’s becoming clear just how they’re going the global route to do so.
