The Miami Dolphins have one of the worst wide receiver groups in the NFL, and that’s a problem. It isn’t going to change anytime soon for the Dolphins unless they make a signing or trade that makes sense.
Right now, Miami doesn’t really need to go all in, since doing so doesn’t make much sense. The Dolphins are expected to be one of the more below-average teams in the NFL, so there’s reason to believe that certain guys, especially veterans, wouldn’t even want to play for them.
However, one reporter recently floated the idea of the Dolphins going after Stefon Diggs, who not only would make a decent impact for the Dolphins, but also loves his time in Miami because:
“I think Stefon Diggs, the person, would want to most go to the Miami Dolphins for a couple of reasons: One, obviously, he infamously likes to spend time in Miami, but two, he could still be a number one wide receiver there,” Mike Renner said, H/T Heavy.
Diggs has shown he can be elite at any given moment, but I understand why the Dolphins and other teams around the league would be a bit hesitant to make a deal for him.
At the same time, it seems like he’d be the type of guy who enjoys Miami, so perhaps he’d be interested in doing it and going from there.
