Mpumalanga police are investigating the case of a 69-year-old Canadian tourist who was fatally wounded at a concession operated braai picnic site near Phabeni Gate in the Kruger National Park (KNP).
According to the Kruger National Park, the shooting took place on Wednesday night during a bush braai, when a private guide attached to the concession accidentally discharged a firearm, fatally wounding the tourist.
In a statement from the Kruger, the guest was part of a group booked outside the Kruger and only came for the bush braai.
