The South African rugby fraternity is mourning the death of a local legend, Themba Ludwaba.
Ludwaba passed away last night after a long illness.
He played lock forward for the South African African Rugby Board (SAARB), the Kwazakhele Rugby Union (KWARU) the club Spring Rose and for Eastern Province.
The 80-year-old Ludwaba first represented SAARB in the late 1960s.
He leaves behind six children.
Former Springbok Manager Zola Yeye says his passing is a huge loss to SA rugby and rugby development.
Themba Ludwaba’s untimely death has sent shockwave throughout the country. He was one of our go-to men on the field of play, a trusted player indeed, he will be solely missed.
