Texas began the tournament with three consecutive wins and recovered well from a mid-season wobble that saw them lose back-to-back matches against San Francisco Unicorns and Washington Freedom. They responded strongly by winning four of their final five league matches, including a dramatic one-run defeat to the Unicorns that proved to be their only setback during that phase.
Rain denied TSK the opportunity to challenge Washington Freedom in the Qualifier, but they received another chance through the Challenger. However, their title hopes ended when MI New York produced a commanding chase to deny them a place in the final.

Season verdict
Texas Super Kings once again underlined their status as one of Major League Cricket’s most consistent franchises. Faf du Plessis led from the front with the bat, while the bowling unit featuring Noor Ahmad, Adam Milne and Akeal Hosein provided the foundation for another successful league campaign.
However, rain in the Qualifier and a defeat to eventual champions MI New York in the Challenger meant TSK’s title ambitions remained unfulfilled. Despite the disappointing finish, a second-place finish in the league stage and another playoff appearance reinforced their reputation as one of the strongest teams in the competition.
